In the fall semester of my senior year in college I had the opportunity to study abroad in London. Central College is known for its great study abroad programs, and this semester would be a defining experience for me. I do not believe I would be in the midst of a round-the-world year of traveling had I not had the courage to study abroad.
The Central program had its own house, located at 7 Bedford Place in the Bloomsbury District. It was literally right around the corner from the British Museum, and just a short walk from Trafalgar Square. I know I have had many wonderful memories inside that building, and I’m sure former Central alum who lived there would agree. If you are a Central alum and stayed there, please pass this along to your fellow alum. Unfortunately 7 Bedford is the one place in the whole street that is covered in scaffolding.
This is my second panorama and it is riddled with errors. Hopefully the panoramas will improve with time and practice, but bear with me as I learn more about how to create these images.
If you like the panorama or have anything you want to say or reminisce about your time spent at 7 Bedford, please leave them in the comments below!

Love the update! We’re headed to London in a month and 7 Bedford is on the list to check out. Looking forward to seeing the “new” house also. Happy travels!

Thanks Amy! It was really nice to walk by the old place again and see some of the old haunts. It really takes your memory back – definitely a sense of nostalgia. I hope you enjoy your trip to London next month – I know you will!

We saw that blue tarp 2.5 months ago! Wow… I have never been on the London program but have walked past Vandon House and Bedford on two trips… can just feel the sounds of CUI CUI on the street — all the way out to the park and the “Friend in Hand…”
briancretin says
Yeah too bad that tarp was still there. The only one on the whole street…
I forgot about the Friend at Hand! Shoot – totally missed that one. Next time…

Thanks Maggie! More panoramas and updates to come as I make my way through Egypt…

Hey Freshy-
Cool shot, thanks for bringing back the memories! Unfortunately I didn’t get to stay there but still spent lots of quality time visiting. Glad things are going well!
briancretin says
Hey Kristy – thanks. My travels have been great so far.

So apparently students are no longer staying at Vandon House, in Woburn Place at a residence hall.

Yep, they have a new location which is back in the Bloomsbury District. You can check out more info for Central’s London program here:
