One of the highlights during my time in Egypt was when I had dinner at a Nubian family’s house. Our group took a felucca to the west side of the Nile in Aswan. From there we piled into the bed of a truck and headed through the beautiful Nile countryside up to a Nubian village. The truck consisted of 8 foreign tourists, two gentlemen standing on the back bumper of the truck, and two small children, a boy and a girl, riding on the top of the truck.
Both children were enthusiastically posing for pictures and their exuberance showed through. The young girl especially loved to pose in glitzy Hollywood-style shots. For this picture, I turned my articulating LCD screen towards her so she could see herself, and snapped a photo. I think her elation shines through.
She is a beautiful girl! What did you have for dinner??
