Wat Phra Singh is one of many spectacular Buddhist temples scattered within the moat of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. Just behind the main temple is a ubosot, which is used mainly for monk ordinations. The ubosot is oftentimes closed when the main temple is open. I had the opportunity to explore the ubosot and the beautiful architecture contained within early one morning. The ubosot’s central feature is a pyramid or tower structure that houses a copy of the Emerald Buddha.
Speaking as someone who is hungry for more panoramas – doesn’t the title “Panorama of the Day” imply that there will be one every day? More please!
What I need is a fisheye lens so that I can speed up this process! I love taking the pictures but it is a bit time consuming right now. I promise more!
What are the framed pictures displayed on the sides?
Nice job on the panorama. Getting better every time.
They were old pictures of the temple and Chiang Mai about 100 years ago. Very cool.
