The Faces Series – Jogjakarta, Indonesia

 

After visiting Borobudur and Prambanan, I spent a day walking around Jogjakarta.  My primary objective was to meander through the streets, talk to the local citizens there, learn about life in Jogjakarta, and ask for pictures from the various people I came across.  What started as a hot, sweltering day turned into a comfortable evening as I finished up my day, tired yet thrilled.  Jogjakarta was a city that I didn’t know much about, wasn’t too excited to explore, but ended up being one of the best surprises of my trip to this point.  I won’t soon forget my time there, both visiting the sites and mingling with the local residents.
